What is the "Naturalist"?

It is an individual that studies and respects the beauty in nature and helps preserve it.

One of Rituals artisans has recreated a piece of nature by carving this majestic Grandfather Clock, "The Natural". By using a fallen tree for the base he has helped to preserve a treasure of the forest. Now this specimen can continue to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.

Who were "The Grand Rapids Coppersmiths"?

They were a school of metalworkers in Grand Rapids, Michigan during the
Arts and Crafts period from 1902 to 1918 specializing in hammered copper metalwork. Some of the important coppersmiths of that time were Limbert and Stickley.

Rituals "Peacock Lamp" is an authentic recreation of these fine metalworkers designs. It is hand hammered of solid copper, one at a time, with slag glass lens.

Rituals own hand carved "Tramp Moderne" square occasional table featuring an "X" base with vertical perforated supports and a clipped cornered top.

What is "Tramp Art"?
It is a form of Folk Art originating at the time of the Civil War by wanderers without any written records of the carvers work.

Tramp/Hobo art originated from art forms void of rules. Tramps and Hobos used whatever material was available to construct pieces within the context of their own imagination often using only a pocket knife and the once ubiquitous---cigar box.

Rituals uses carvers that are true to this art form. Our Tramp Art table is just one fine example of the precise nature of Tramp Art chip carving.
